I’m a recent graduate of Northern Arizona University. During my three years there, I studied criminology & criminal justice, social work, and family studies. Since 1993, I’ve lived in Scottsdale, Arizona.
I’m sarcastic, insightful, and resourceful. I’m a people-pleaser, joker, hen-pecker, deadpan snarker, and I possess a child-like sense of curiosity. I’m also critical, impatient, and a do-gooder. I’m socially withdrawn, though. I rather enjoy my solitude.
I’m certainly pleasant enough at first, but you’ll find that everyone has their pet peeves. As such, let’s avoid this with a list of things that bother me. Well first of all, I dislike sexuality shaming. This means shaming someone for their sexuality (heterosexual/homosexual/others) as well as how they choose to express their sexuality (attitudes and attire). I consider myself a pacifist, so anyone who resorts to violence without good reason is bound to bug me. Little things that annoy me include those who feel the need to talk about politics or religion all day, who play defensive omnivore bingo with me, or who generally do not act their age.
I want to travel. I’d love to visit England, France, Germany, Switzerland, Japan, Italy, and pretty much anywhere else I can think of. I don’t think I’d enjoy permanently living abroad, though. I also have a particular fondness for nature. Flowers especially seem to count, as well as wooded areas. In particular, I adore lilacs and azaleas. My three favorite colors are cerulean, seafoam, and lilac.I have a yearning towards bodies of water. Well, except for the beach. I’m not really a fan of sand. Marine life intrigues me, especially jellyfish and other creatures. I have five fish, including my prized Azalea (a blue betta).
My favorite foods are grapes, green peas, and carbs. Foods I refuse to eat include olives, mushrooms, and any form of meat. As of January, I’m a vegan. I aspire to become healthier and happier throughout the year, That is if I can avoid my past eating disorder. Well, that’s pretty much it for now!
